Description
Arguably our most common sulphur, adults are common garden visitors throughout Florida and the Southeast. The adults have a very long proboscis and thus can access nectar in a wide variety of blossoms including long tubular flowers. Fond of red-, pink- and purple-colored blossoms. The attractive larvae are variable in color, being yellow if feeding on host blossoms (which are also yellow) or green if chomping away on the leaves. | Photos by Jaret Daniels
