Description
Large tailless swallowtail common year round in south Florida. Colonizes more northern portions of the state in late summer and fall. A regular in urban parks, suburban yards and gardens. Adults continuously flutter their wings while feeding. As a result, they can access nectar in a wide variety of flower shapes and sizes including longer tubular blossoms. | Photos by Jaret Daniels
