Description
Although superficially similar to the Monarch, the Queen can readily be distinguished by an overall more mahogany color. Adults are fond of smaller flowers including those of their milkweed hosts. Like the Monarch, the Queen rests on blossoms with its wings closed or partially closed while feeding. | Photo by Jaret Daniels
