Description

Easily identified by its bright red bands, the Red Admiral may be a frequent garden visitor although seldom in any large numbers. The spiny larvae make leaf shelters on their host plants to help avoid detection from hungry predators. The adults have a fast, erratic flight and visit a variety of available flowers. | Photos by Jaret Daniels
