Description

While the Giant Swallowtail is indeed a "giant" butterfly, females of the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail are often even larger in size. A common suburban butterfly, the larvae utilize a number of cultivated and wild members of the Citrus family as hosts. Adults continuously flutter their wings while feeding. Fond of bright-colored blooms. | Photos by Jaret Daniels
