Water your lawn only when it needs it. Footprints will stay in the lawn, leaf blades will fold in half, and the lawn will take on a blue-green hue.
Water your landscape plants only when they need it. Some plants are prone to wilting when they need water.
Use a rain gauge to see how much water your plants get naturally.
Grouping plants with similar water needs will make it easier to give your plants the correct amount of water.
Water less in cooler months when turfgrass grass is dormant.
Water in the early morning to prevent water from sitting on the foliage overnight.
Follow all local watering restrictions as to when you can water.
Turfgrass and landscape plants are irrigated only as needed according to UF/IFAS recommendations and in compliance with any existing watering restrictions
