Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ Certified Professional Code of Ethics
As a professional certified through the Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ Certified Professional, I hereby agree to abide by the following Code of Ethics.
- I will promote the highest ethical standards in the conduct of my horticultural work and myself.
- I will be truthful in oral and written statements concerning the services I am qualified to offer.
- I will protect the environment and discourage damage to our natural resources.
- I will refrain from expressing an uninformed opinion on any issues relating to my profession.
- I understand that upon being certified, I will be entitled to be called a Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ Certified Professional and may use the initials of my certification and display its name and logos.
- Use of the Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ trademark and logo does not constitute an endorsement by UF/IFAS Extension and the Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ Program.
- I understand that this certification does not give me the right to use or display UF or UF/IFAS logos.
- No changes are permitted to the Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ trademark and logo.
- I understand I am responsible for providing the Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ Program with proof of my Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for renewal prior to expiration.
- I understand that should my certification expire or be revoked, I shall not display any distinguishing logos or titles or imply or publicize that I am certified.
