Episode #124 | Original Air Date: August 20, 2020
Birdbaths are a great way to attract feathered friends to your garden.
Select a shallow basin that has a rough surface so birds will have sure footing. You can choose either a ground-level or a pedestal-style basin.
If you choose a ground level basin be sure to place it away from shrubs and near a tree to provide protection from predators
Place your birdbath near a hose so it’s easy to fill. Once a week, scrub the basin with a 10% vinegar solution before rinsing and refilling. This will help protect visiting birds from diseases.
Add the sound of moving water. It attracts birds, and will give them extra incentive to visit your birdbath.
