Episode #17 | Original Air Date: March 24, 2020
UF/IFAS Extension brings helpful university research to the public.
Every county in the state has an extension office staffed with experts who specialize in areas like family, youth, and community sciences, 4-H, and consumer horticulture.
You can visit your county extension office for help with soil testing, choosing Florida-Friendly plants, or obtaining information about responsible fertilizer and pesticide use. You can also bring in samples of sick or unknown plants for identification and suggested remedies.
County Extension Agents teach classes and frequently respond to gardening questions over the phone or through e-mail. They can help you understand how to achieve your landscape goals in a Florida-Friendly way.
Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ in a Minute is a production of the University of Florida’s Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ Program, IFAS Extension, and WUFT-FM in cooperation with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.
