Episode #202 | Original Air Date: December 8, 2020
Garlands are a wonderful holiday tradition brought by early settlers and date back as far as Greek and Roman times.
Ropes of garland can be made from easy to work with cuttings from evergreen trees like pine, spruce, and cedar. Cut thin, bendable branches ranging in lengths from six to twelve inches. Overlap the branches and attach them using twine or wire.
Decorate your garland with pinecones, acorns, and dried flowers. And maybe add some ribbons, bows, or even lights. Look around on your property to find different kinds of evergreens to add interest, texture and variety.
Use your imagination and bring some of nature’s beauty home for the holidays.
