Episode #116 | Original Air Date: August 10, 2020
Ornamental grasses are a great addition to modern landscapes. In Florida, muhly grass is a tough but beautiful native grass that can work great in any yard.
Muhly grass performs best in sunny areas, producing clumps that can reach 3 to 5 feet tall and up to 3 feet wide when mature. In fall, muhly grass produces fluffy pink or white flower stalks that give it a distinctive and attractive appearance.
Plant muhly grass as a border or use it in mass plantings for a beautiful, drift-like effect.
Muhly grass is easy to grow and is both drought tolerant and salt tolerant, so it makes a great Florida-Friendly option.
