Since 1993, Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ (FFL) has served as the state of Florida’s premier Extension program that promotes sustainable alternatives to “conventional” landscaping, providing guidance on low impact, environmentally friendly, science-based landscape practices that use less water and reduce pollutant loading to Florida waters.

This special edition of Flip My Florida Yard celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Florida-Friendly Landscaping Program™ by exploring the program’s long legacy of environmental stewardship. Check in on homeowners one year after their flip and witness the life-changing effects of a Florida-Friendly Landscape. Look back at how the FFL program got its start, unpack the principles critical to the program’s success, and meet the passionate teachers of this environmental movement. Experts share simple ways to help Florida by starting in your own yard. Along the way experience the thrill and excitement of Florida’s most-watched yard series!
